Intake & documentation
Piece is photographed and condition recorded on arrival. A written note captures all existing marks before any work begins.
Assessment & quote
Full assessment shared with the owner. Scope, timeline and price are agreed before any work is scheduled.
Workshop work
Work carried out by the person who assessed the piece. No handoffs to unknown technicians. Owner notified if anything is found that changes the original scope.
Final review & return
Work reviewed against intake documentation before return. Explanation provided of what was done and any observations noted during the job.
Vintage Restoration
Gentle, reversible work on older timepieces — including dial care and sympathetic case refinishing that respects original character. Appropriate for inherited or collected pieces where preserving what is there matters as much as improving the appearance.

Standards across all services
Secure custody
All pieces are stored in labelled, padded trays while in the workshop. The premises are secured outside operating hours.
Documented at intake and return
Photographic record taken on arrival and on completion. Condition notes kept on file for the duration the piece is in the workshop.
No work without agreement
Scope, price and timeline confirmed before any work is started. Changes during a job are discussed with the owner before being undertaken.
Direct accountability
The person who assessed your piece is the person who works on it. No anonymous third-party outsourcing of the work itself.
Realistic timelines
Completion estimates are based on actual current workload. Proactive communication if anything changes.
Reversibility where possible
Irreversible changes are not made without clear agreement, especially on older or collected pieces where original material has value.
